Really love the sound of the melodica! Don't wanna be a 'copy cat', but sure gonna experiment with my melodica and frequency analyzer myself ;-)
Favorite track: Whales Calling.
Track 1 was made in preparation for the Rewire festival 2016,
Koen Kaptijn (trombone) and Keimpe de Jong (bass clarinet, soprano sax) later added their improvisations to this recording.
Also with sampled contributions by Nina Hitz (cello & prepared cello)
Track 2 contains snippets from the Rewire concert by Oene van Geel & Michel Banabila in 2016.

A unique atmospheric album with a sense of humor and a lot of melancholy. I do not know if you can call this ambient.. but I don't know any other record like this Michel Banabila
If you ever visit The Netherlands in late autumn, make sure to visit our unique province Friesland which has it's own language. That's what you hear on this atmospheric record. It's the sound of Friesland in the autumn while cellist Joana Guerra contributes some Portugese melancholia. It all works wonders. Robert Bloemkolk
